Feathered Sanctuary is a parrot rescue in Central Pa, and is a 501(c)(3) non profit, all volunteer run, avian rescue dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of companion parrots. If you need to re-home your bird, Feathered Sanctuary may help by offering your bird a safe place to stay and get veterinary care until the right Home can  be found.

For avian veterinary care, our birds are seen by Dr. Hall at VCA Bridgeport Animal Hospital. Some birds have multiple vet visits before they are placed up for adoption (depending on any health issues which need to be resolved before cleared for adoption). 

Our volunteers work intensively with individuals in adopting a bird. Over time, we have developed and  established a structured screening and adoption process that we feel gives both the adopter and bird the best possible start at their new life together. Be aware that adopting a bird is a lifelong responsibility, as many birds out-live their owners. We take special care in matching up our adoptable birds with the right owner to build lasting relationships and forever homes.
